Blackpool’s 140 year old Winter Gardens Complex is undergoing a comprehensive £25m refurbishment and expansion and Principal Contractors McLaughlin & Harvey have awarded Riddell PM with a contract to produce the full suite of Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the works.
The existing Grade 2 Listed complex covers 4.9 acres, and will increase its facilities with a new-build directly linked 6,150sqm 2-storey Conference and Exhibition Centre. These new facilities will be able to accommodate 2,000 delegates within a new conference hall, exhibition space, fixed and flexible breakout areas and catering amenities.
Throughout the 73 week construction period the Winter Gardens Complex will remain a live environment.
During construction Riddell PM will be providing a full collation and technical authoring service, making direct contact with each of the expected 40 Sub-Contractors and Design Team Consultants to obtain their O&M manuals, drawings, test certificates, etc for inclusion into the hard copy and electronic O&M Manuals for the overall works.
For this exciting Project, Riddell PM is producing a Building Fabric Manual, a Mechanical Services Manual, and an Electrical Services Manual. Additionally as part of our Framework Agreement with McLaughlin & Harvey we are also providing our innovative PYRAMID Digital Building Manual, which combines all the building information into a fully hyperlinked and bookmarked Electronic O&M Manual.
