One of the first Projects delivered under NHS Framework Scotland, the new Royal Victoria Building at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, is devoted to the care of elderly.
The accommodation comprises 5 new 26 bedded care of the elderly wards with 130 single bedrooms in total, a Medical Day Hospital, physiotherapy suites, Rheumatology and Dermatology departments, administration support and support services. The facility is linked to the existing Western General Hospital via a new link bridge which required internal reconfiguration works within the existing Anne Ferguson Building.
For this new-build facility Riddell PM provided the end of Project technical documents for the Principal Contractor, Laing O'Rourke.

In addition, Riddell PM provided all project O&M information in our trademarked Pyramid Digital Building Manual format, incorporating the Final Building Services Manuals produced and provided by M&E Subcontractor, Crown House Technologies Ltd, and the completed Health & Safety File provided by Thomson Gray Limited who were acting as Construction Design and Management Co-ordinator.
