Riddell PM won this Contract after our work on Levenseat EfW Plant in Forth, central Scotland, for Engineering and construction company M+W Group and its partner Levenseat Renewable Energy Ltd.
Spanning seven acres of Hull’s industrial heartland, the £200m Energy Works Hull Power Plant produces and exports electricity to the National Grid and is one of the largest energy-from-waste facilities of its kind in the UK. A minimum of 25MWe of electricity is generated through a Fluidised Bed Gasification Plant and this is supplemented with 36kWp of electricity through rooftop deployed Solar Panels.
The facility will generate sufficient energy to power 43,000 homes by processing 240,000 tonnes of refuse-derived fuel (RDF) annually
Within the site lies The Energy Academy, a learning, research and development facility in partnership with the University of Hull. The arched building also incorporates the control room for Energy Works, with full viewing windows on both floors, the building is purpose-designed to offer operational staff, researchers and visitors wide-ranging views of operations on site.
Riddell PM once again were contracted by M+W Group and provided our innovative Pyramid Digital Building Manual for this complex facility, presenting all information in a seven Volume structure:
