Moxy Aberdeen

Robertson Construction awarded Riddell PM this Contract following our work in producing O&M Manuals for Horizon House and Ardent House, two office developments in Aberdeen. As the first UK Moxy Hotel the £8.5m Moxy Aberdeen Airport sits just 5 minutes from the busy Aberdeen International Airport, and only 30 minutes from the city centre. The works included building a modular, six-storey 200 bedroom hotel, with ground floor reception, restaurant, meeting facilities and superb IT.

To maximise construction speed, quality and safety, the hotel was designed to utilise offsite construction methods. The ground floor was constructed using a steel-frame, with modular pods built on top. These were then bolted together and the modular services connected.  The exterior of the building was wrapped with a striking external cladding. Finally the hotel was fully furnished and fitted out.

Riddell PM were appointed by Robertson Construction to produce the Building Fabric O&M Manual. Separately we received a Contract to work directly with the Building Services Sub-Contractor to produce both the Mechanical Services O&M Manual and the Electrical Services O&M Manual.
