When Heriot-Watt University gave the green light for their £26m Oriam Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre in Edinburgh, they awarded the Principal Contractor role to Bowmer & Kirkland.

Riddell PM was appointed undertake the project management and production of Building Fabric O&M Manual. Our experienced technical author ensured compliance with Heriot-Watt’s Project Specification, while following our own internal O&M Manual procedures, providing monthly Progress Reports, accurate email tracking and delivery of final O&M Manuals by a Fedex tracked next-day courier service.

The new Oriam sports facility provides a new full size indoor 3G synthetic pitch for football and rugby, a nine-court sports hall, grass and synthetic outdoor pitches as well as high performance wing that includes areas for hydrotherapy, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, elite changing, office accommodation and a classroom. The existing facilities at the University, which include the current Sports Centre and Sports Academy, were also bolstered by a new 120 station gym and restaurant area open to the general public.
